Bartimaeus Poem

Below the massive town hall,
Around the river Thames,
Down the crumbled street,
Under the mossy archway,
Across the dirt covered pathway,
Through the door and up the staircase,
In the chalk pentacle,
A creature of pure evil hisses in its cage.

  1. That’s a very well-written poem. I really like the details. I’ve read that book once, but I didn’t like it that much. I’m thinking of trying it again though.
